Fiona – Needs a sponsor

Fiona – Needs a sponsor

Fiona- where to even start extolling her virtues?  She is a patient and kind horse.  She has taken Arlo, who is completely blind, under her care.  She is the welcoming mare to new residents and treats them all with gentleness.  Fiona came into rescue badly neglected with very overgrown feet.  She also has Cushings disease as well as Equine Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance.   Both of these diseases require special medications and diet.  Fiona will stay at the rescue to ensure that she gets the care she needs to live her best life.

Arlo- Needs a sponsor

Arlo is a handsome Appaloosa mini.  He is about 36" tall.  He is very friendly with people and other horses.   He was blind when he came to the rescue. however, he does not let his blindness stop him from fully enjoying his life.  He plays with other horses, he trots and runs with them and when you watch him in the field it is hard to believe that he can't see.  Arlo is bonded with Fiona.  She looks out for him and he looks out for her.  Arlo will stay at the rescue to ensure that he and Fiona are always together.

Oakley

Oakley

Oakley came to us as an owner surrender.  He had been kept with a herd of sheep for several years.  Oakley is timid around other horses but he loves children.  Oakley is cute, cute cute!  he has a heart-shaped nose and would love to be your Valentine.    We think that Oakley was a lead-line horse, perhaps working the county fair circuit before he ended up in a herd of sheep. He is a sturdy mini, about 36" tall.  He takes a small rider.  We are working with him to see if he is broke to drive a cart.  Don't delay.  Come and meet this cutie!

Robin- Adopted

Robin- Adopted

We were asked if we'd consider taking in a pony who really needed a helping hand.  We said yes and then there was Robin!   Robin is a handsome paint pony who came to us at 16 months of age.   He was consigned to auction by his owners and in the auction paperwork, under name, all that was listed was the auction number.  Robin arrived very timid and nervous.  He wasn't sure who he could trust so he decided to trust no one.   We have carefully worked with him and he is coming out of his shell.  He loves to play and he and Marco make quite the twosome.  Robin will be a wonderful project pony.  He is available for adoption but won't be ready to take a saddle for at least a year.  Come meet Robin, be prepared to have him steal  your heart.

A dark blue roan who is not quite two, he came from a Texas auction, where he had been abandoned. Despite that rough start, he is a teddy bear of a boy, who loves belly rubs. While his conformation may not be classically beautiful, he has a gentle, loving spirit that would do well in a therapy situation. Available for adoption in the future.
